Silent Chat Zero: Recovery is a point-and-click adventure game directed by PuffleReturns, created by HHW Studios, and published by Konami and Rovio Stars.

It was the sixth and most popular installment of the Silent Chat series, and was released in 2020. It features tech-genius Alan sitting at the computer facing an empty chat box. He gets sucked into his Windows XP computer, and shadows surround him. He has to face them all in order to reach the control panel, enable antivirus and recover his friends, but if the battery dies, he's stuck there forever.

Notable parts of the story:

  • Alan opens AIM (AOL instant messager) and messages his friend Odile, from SC 1, for help. He comes over to Alan's house to see what the problem was, and gets sucked into the computer as well. AOL mysteriously crashes.
  • Alan and Odile encounter a shadow-enhanced version of the infamous WannaCry ransomware, who managed to encrypt the Bitdefender antiransomware program, which blocks the two from accessing the control panel.

The game was released on tons of different platforms, old and new.
